Having a spare timing belt or multi-vee belt is a good idea. Belts seem to break while we are in the middle of a project.

Proper storage of timing and multi-vee belts is important.  All belts will dry out and weaken over time if they are not stored properly.  Belts will dry out faster in hot climates like Texas or Arizona.  UV light will also damage belts.

When possible, store your spare belt in a zip lock bag in a climate controlled space.
